From social media management to advertising compliance, removing shadow bans to hosting events, Nicole can help craft successful strategies to help you market or monetize your business.

She’s worked with cannabis businesses
from Mom-and-Pop, to ancillaries, to MSO’s and much more.

If you know Nicole, you know that Nicole knows weed.

Nicole entered the cannabis industry in 2020, soon after college.

Nicole started her career in the Food and Beverage industry with a marketing internship for Snooze, an AM Eatery, circa 2019. Her plan after college was to be a great intern, meet people in her time off, and find her way into cannabis. With some serendipity, that’s exactly what she did.

Once the world closed down due to COVID-19, Nicole and the other Denver Pub Crawl founders set out to keep LoDo’s bars open by bringing weekly crawlers around for drink specials and fried cheese. Through this experience (believe it or not), Nicole was able to connect with the right people and landed the role of marketing manager with Clear Cannabis Inc., also known as The Clear. In November of 2021, Nicole went rogue and began freelancing with Happy Gnome HR, The Support Suite, and individual professionals on their LinkedIn visibility.

In 2022, Nicole Sabilia teamed up with a fellow freelancer, Jax Barboa, to form House of Fuego LLC. House of Fuego was scaled to 6-figures and serving clients from coast to coast in 6 short months. In 2023, Nicole helped Cirrus Social Club fundraise, get licensed, and go to market in Denver, CO. Keep reading to learn more about what she did in 2024!

Strategy & Branding

Branding that helps the Bottom-Line

Nicole led high-impact marketing strategies which drove revenue and brand evolution at Green Check Verified in 2024. She managed omni-channel campaigns; from budget, to placement, to creative, in a combination of paid, organic and in-person marketing. In this role, she led segmented email outreach — sending approximately 90,000 emails quarterly— achieving significant ROI and lead growth.

Loyalty Programs

At MedMen, Nicole revitalized a loyalty program for 2 million shoppers across 32 dispensaries. By leveraging advanced CRM strategies and digital promotions, she elevated customer engagement and retention in competitive markets. She also collaborated with cross-functional teams and interpreted stor-level, as well as industry-level data to boost customer retention and market competitiveness in California’s cannabis sector.

Positioning and Thought Leadership

Nicole has better-positioned brands and leaders within the cannabis industry by developing compliant campaigns that connect with diverse audiences. Through strategic initiatives at Green Check she has elevated brand credibility, helped build influential thought leadership campaigns, and driven engagement in highly regulated markets.

Data Driving

Nicole blends data analytics with creative marketing to drive strategic growth and foster industry leadership. She has led national brand expansions through meticulously crafted campaigns, leveraging data insights to maximize engagement and ROI. Her expertise extends to executing targeted outreach and segmenting diverse audience bases, ensuring messages resonate (and deliver) with precision.

Nicole’s work has not only driven impactful growth, but also forged and supported strategic partnerships that strengthen brand value.

Psychedelic Industry Experience

  • In 2020, Denver County took the progressive step of decriminalizing psilocybin. Recognizing the changing landscape, Nicole proactively undertook harm reduction facilitation training tailored for those who partake in this substance. The training was distinct: occupying a unique space that bridged the gap between shamanic and clinical approaches.

Nicole firmly believes in the "right to try" for adults, while always emphasizing the importance of safety for both the individual and the community.

In 2020, Nicole served as a safe, friendly presence for clients who were able to find their own medicine and get in contact with her. Given the current legal landscape and Nicole’s lack of medical training, this experience will remain in the past but continue to be applied in Nicole’s lived experience.

  • Are you launching a brand in the psychedelic space?

Nicole has 3 years of marketing compliance experience. While the majority of her work has been in cannabis, she’s also worked in other highly regulated and emerging spaces like web3, and completed market research for a project undertaken by the American Cancer Society in nicotine. Nicole would love to join your psychedelic brand’s marketing team to save you money in legal fees later on.

*Nicole does not provide Legal Advice :-)

  • Nicole’s experiences make her a great candidate to wear many hats at your psychedelic startup or enterprise. Experiences like:

    • Sandboxing entrepreneurship,

    • Working with startups,

    • Navigating the cannabis industry, and,

    • Developing genuine passions for harm reduction, community health, and sustainability.

As the psychedelics space begins to bloom, Nicole would be thrilled to find herself on a rock star team at a disruptive psychedelic company.
