Events, Event Planning & Sponsorships
Planning and hosting events is what got Nicole into marketing.
For her Junior and Senior years at Roanoke College, Nicole served as President of the Campus Activities Board (CAB). She worked with CAB for 3 years of college, and managed Summer Conferences on campus for 2 summers. Her senior year, she was given permission to budget $250,000, manage a staff of 10, and execute 25 events from Fall 2018 to Spring 2019. These events included high-stakes Bingo Nights, Laser Tag, Foam Parties, Build-a-Bear, Casino Nights, Holiday Events, and so much more.
Highlights from Nicole’s Undergraduate Event Planning:
Building a 1000-sqaure-foot Victorian Santa Sleigh for the 2017 Salem Christmas Parade, out of recycled materials, from scratch! See a photo of it here.
Hosting Asher Roth for an on-campus concert in 2018.
Trailblazing Roanoke College’s first ever “Beer Tasting” in 2018. The event celebrates Seniors and sends them off with a toast of local brews. The school still hosts the event every year.
Here’s proof!
Freelance Event Planning
In 2020, Nicole helped plan and host a consumption-friendly cannabis event with 04:20 at Denver landmark, Knew Conscious.
This was a project Nicole added on to her plate while helping 04:20 Founder, Anthony Sabia, launch Shroomski Magazine’s concept. See more about Shroomski on the “Creative” page.

Agency Event Planning
In 2023, while Nicole was serving as Co-Founder at her previous agency, she planned and executed on 2 compliant cannabis industry events on the East Coast:
Canna Colorful: New Jersey Networking, and The High Note: Infused Networking Mixer.
This project was commissioned by Curaleaf’s non-profit arm, Rooted in Good. The events had more than cannabis industry objectives: they were put on to highlight the charity’s selected causes. This was Nicole’s time being solely responsible for sponsorship fundraising. She tapped in her good friend and sponsorship rockstar, Renee Wright, to help.
New Jersey’s pride event was a mixer honoring community, as well as LGBTQ+ health and access, and The High Note, featured in Boston Cannabis Week, was put on to elevate connections between female operators.

Events Work on a Team:
Nicole worked tremendously hard alongside Cirrus Social Club’s founding team on many projects. Part of these responsibilities required rising to the occasion for “All Hands on Deck” assignments, like the proof of concept seshes over 4/20 in 2023, and subsequent Denver seshes within founder Arend Richard’s home.
Over 4/20, Cirrus Social Club hosted 2 days of 3 events featuring 6-star service, table-side bong rips, and transcendental romanticization of what it means to smoke weed. The 3 seshes were as follows: (i) Industry Personas, (ii) Influencers and Press, and (iii) Celebrity Drag Queens, like Heidi in Closet, Willam, and Crystal Methyd.
Nicole’s primary duty throughout the 3 soirees was to wash dishes. It feels important to include that facing these tasks with a humble heart and ready hands is mission-critical to pulling off any event. In particular, stunning, high-service events like these ones require folks who are ready to jump into any task. Nicole is most definitely that girl.
